How it works.

01

Install the extension, or one command

Drag one file into Claude Desktop, or paste a single line for Claude Code, Cursor or Docker. No cloud accounts, no API keys to manage.

02

Point it at your Actual Budget

Set your server URL and password. Your data stays on your machine. Nothing is sent anywhere.

03

Ask Claude anything about your finances

Query accounts, analyze trends, create transactions, reallocate budgets, without leaving the conversation.

Just ask.

Will my budget last this month?
Spent $50 at Walmart today
Which category is killing me?
Move $200 from Checking to Savings
Spending trends for the last 6 months
Budget vs actual this month

Because "am I overspending on food?" shouldn't require three filters and a custom date range to answer.

Read, analyze, and edit.

37 tools across 3 categories. Everything you need without leaving the conversation.

What makes it different

Deletes stop and ask - every destructive tool shows what it will remove and waits for you to confirm
Read-only mode - set ACTUAL_READ_ONLY=1 and the write tools disappear from the model entirely
Analysis, not just lookups - projections, category trends, budget vs actual
Multi-currency that survives reality - split transactions and residual reconciliation
Say names, not IDs - "Checking" or "Groceries", not UUIDs
Natural dates in English and Spanish - "last month", "este mes", "hace 3 meses"
Built on @actual-app/api 26.8, and tested against the version you install

See it work.

A real session against a demo budget. Note the second half: the delete stops and asks, because the transaction was already cleared.

Terminal session: asking where the money went in July returns a spending table with over-budget categories, then asking to delete a Netflix charge stops to ask for confirmation
